The other day I went to a meeting at work. It used to be that I knew nearly everyone at work. The company has grown lately and as I looked around I realized there were a lot of people there that I didn't recognize. There was a whole line along a wall that I didn't recognize. I started going down the line, I looked at the first person and thought "he looks like the kind of guy that thought he was popular in high school but really wasn't".
Then continued down the line, "she looks like she was beautiful at one time, but let herself go".
"He looks like the kind of guy that would be my friend, but only if he was selling Amway".
"She looks snotty and fake".
"She looks like a tramp".
"He looks like a book smart nerd that probably can't find his way home at night".
I got to the last person in the line and thought, "she looks like the kind of person that would judge people with out really knowing them, I hate people like that." Then I silently laughed, because I had pulled a joke on myself. I also taught my self a valuable lesson. You might think it is not to judge, but the lesson I learned was that if you use your imagination you can make a boring meeting a little less boring.
